Job summary

MDB Health Services seeks a compassionate Wound Care/Foot Care Nurse Practitioner to deliver specialized care in long-term care facilities on a part-time basis. Responsibilities include wound and foot care, assessments, treatment, and coordination with facility staff while traveling to designated nursing homes in the area.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with 2+ years of wound/foot care experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care and/or foot care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Provide foot care and/or wound care to residents in long-term care facilities.
Conduct thorough wound assessments and develop personalized care plans for each patient.
Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other wound care procedures as needed.
Monitor and assess patients’ progress in wound healing and foot health.
Educate patients and facility staff on effective wound care techniques and foot care best practices.
Travel to designated nursing homes in your area.
Communicate with facility staff and physicians to ensure seamless care delivery and optimize outcomes.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Manage pain related to wounds to ensure patient comfort.
Maintain flexibility while seeing patients during weekday working hours.
