Job summary

Warren Barr Lincoln Park in Chicago, IL is currently seeking a dedicated Wound Care Technician to join our compassionate team. You will support the Treatment Nurse, assist with wound care delivery, and help ensure safety and comfort for residents.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, an Illinois CNA certificate, CPR certification, and ideally one year of CNA or wound care experience. We offer strong benefits, on-demand pay, and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist with wound care delivery under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Support the Treatment Nurse and wound care team to improve residents' outcomes.
• Assist with lifting, turning and repositioning of residents during wound care.
• Observe changes in residents' condition and maintain a safe environment.
• Contribute to ongoing education and adherence to care standards.

As a Wound Care Technician you are instrumental in improving the lives of our residents. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Warren Barr Lincoln Park by providing support to the Treatment Nurse and wound care team, assisting the with the delivery of wound care services under the supervision of a licensed nurse, assisting with lifting, turning and repositioning of residents during the delivery of wound care, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Illinois C.N.A. certificate and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and/or Wound Care Technician experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
