Job summary

West Coast Wound & Skin Care seeks a Lead Medical Assistant to oversee daily clinical and operational functions for Wound Care Programs. The role provides leadership, mentorship, and ensures compliance with clinical protocols and documentation standards.

The Lead MA serves as the liaison between program staff and clinical leadership, guiding day-to-day workflow, patient care, and team accountability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical Medical Assistant experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of wound care or specialty clinic experience preferred.
• Previous lead, charge, or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily clinical and program operations for wound care.
• Orient, train, and onboard outsource staff on workflows and documentation.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.
• Coordinate coverage across Wound Care Programs and serve as escalation point.
• Lead team huddles and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and documentation standards.
