Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Wound Care Center to assess, plan, implement and evaluate wound and ostomy care with direct patient contact and education.

The position entails 64 hours biweekly, daytime shifts, and an hourly wage of $31.72–$46.43. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered with a two-year commitment; BSN hires receive +$1/hour. Comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse.
• Preferred wound care experience.
• Must be willing to obtain wound care certification after hire.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process.
• Must be able to attend the work site per schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop treatment plan according to current wound care protocols; explain dressing rationale, institute preventive measures and monitor results of care delivered.
• Advise physicians on status of wound patients
• Identify patients requiring debridement procedures and alert attending physician
• Identify nutritional deficiencies, coordinate with Health Care personnel to solve nutrition problems and report results to respective supervisors
• Ensure adequate materials are on hand for every patient
• Attend wound care education programs designed to enhance the benefits patients can derive from the most recent techniques/procedures available
