Position Summary

Contributes to and implements the plan of care of assigned patients with wound care needs. Provide education and instruction for patients and families related to the wound care treatment plan. Specific components of the Licensed Vocational Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence, improving quality of care, demonstrating professionalism in the performance of duties and responsibilities, promoting teamwork and a positive work environment, fulfilling role responsibilities and expectations, and developing clinical expertise per specialty. This is a per diem position in our Kentfield facility.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, our approved vendor.
• One (1) year of experience in wound care required.
• Certification in Wound Care is required to be considered. Either a WCC or CWCN Certification.

• Previous experience working in wound care or demonstrated interest and aptitude in wound care skills.
