Job summary

The Heart Hospital in Plano, TX is seeking a Wound Care Registered Nurse for a part-time (3x8s) role. The ideal candidate will have wound care experience and wound care certification is highly preferred.

The RN will assess patients, develop care plans, and work with the team to ensure quality outcomes. Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing, active RN licensure, and BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.
  • Holding an active Registered Nurse license.
  • BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical assessments maintaining high standard of nursing practice.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans.
  • Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and the healthcare team to coordinate care.

Job Summary

The Wound Care Registered Nurse assesses patients, establishes diagnoses, and creates healthcare plans. They observe and evaluate patient responses. This role ensures patient safety by understanding needs and assisting with encounters.

  • Build therapeutic relationships with both patient and family.

  • Understanding legal and ethical considerations is important for success.

  • Good communication skills are essential.

  • You must be a problem solver who can quickly detect and react to changes in patients.

  • You will also need to know how to use computers and medical software.

  • Completion of an associates degree in nursing from an accredited institution.

  • A minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.

  • Holding an effective Registered Nurse licensure.
