Essex Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Louisville, KY is seeking a compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The role offers immediate start and growth opportunities within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered LPN license in Kentucky.
• Wound care experience or certification preferred.
• Strong wound healing, infection control, and pressure ulcer prevention knowledge.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with PCC/EMR systems is a plus.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop treatment plans
• Administer wound care including dressing changes, debridement, and documentation
• Monitor healing progression and share findings with the care team
• Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and therapists for coordinated care
• Educate staff, patients, and families on wound care and prevention
• Maintain accurate clinical records in the EMR
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
