Job summary

Adams Rehabiltation and Care Center in Alabama is seeking a compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our team for a 6-8 week assignment with immediate hiring. The role offers day shifts, 8a-4:30p, and compensation of $27-$33.50 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered LPN license in Alabama.
• Experience in wound care or wound care certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of wound healing, infection control, and pressure ulcer prevention.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with PCC or other EMR systems is a plus.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer wound care treatments including dressing changes, debridement, and documentation.
• Monitor wound healing progression and communicate findings with the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and therapists to deliver coordinated care.
• Educate staff, patients, and families on wound care management and prevention.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely clinical records in the electronic medical record system.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols in all aspects of wound care delivery.
