The Manor of Novi is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care programs for residents in our skilled nursing facility, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting skin health and healing. The role serves as clinical resource, educator, and advocate for residents, families, and staff on wound prevention and management.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in wound care preferred.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
• Current Wound Care certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Treatment Nurse as per scope of practice.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

This role ensures compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations while promoting optimal skin health, healing, and prevention of pressure injuries and other wounds. Education and/or Experience:
