Vibra Hospital of Northern California in Redding, CA, is seeking a Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our team. This role supports the new Clinical Career Ladder for full-time employees, with opportunities for paid advancement after Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert levels.

The RN will develop and evaluate wound care plans, educate patients and families, supervise nursing care where appropriate, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment (California) required.
• BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
• One year of wound care experience required.
• Wound care certification preferred within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates a plan of care for wound care patients and families.
• Provides education on wound, ostomy and skin integrity issues for patients, families and staff.
• Delivers direct care and delegates supervision of nursing care as needed.
• Demonstrates clinical competence, manages patient care and collaborates with teams.

Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Northern California, located in Redding, CA, is a 50 bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32 bed SNF providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Develops, implements, and evaluates a plan of care of assigned patients with wound care needs and families. Provides education on wound, ostomy and skin integrity issues for patients, families and nursing staff. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care, improving quality of care, establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills, fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital, and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

Required Skills

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
• One (1) year of experience in wound care required.
• Certification in Wound Care within 6 months of hire preferred.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• Certification in Wound Care within 6 months of hire preferred.
• Previous experience working in wound care or demonstrated interest and aptitude in wound care skills. Identify learning needs and teach patients and families
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of teams and individuals
• Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Ability to identify and implement components of the nursing process Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (Word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.)

Posted Total Compensation

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It’s not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $44.00 to $67.56/hr
