Qualifications

• Current or recent experience in the specialty area; willingness to obtain HBO certification.

Job description

Position Overview

St. Luke’s Physician provides medical services in general care and patient treatment in practice and hospital settings. The physician will deliver comprehensive medical care on a continuing basis, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective services, and participate in quality, patient satisfaction, and performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations for all patients.
• Provide cost-effective, high‑quality care based on evidence‑based medicine.
• Adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines approved by the medical staff.
• Assess, manage, and treat patient health needs, including establishing treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medication, and perform examinations and procedures.
• Review laboratory results and develop action plans.
• Provide routine health maintenance for new and established patients.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, and other professionals.
• Provide patient and family education on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with network policies on information release and reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school and completion of residency and/or fellowship in the area of specialty.
• MD or DO licensed by the state of practice; Board Certified or Eligible in the area of specialty.
• Current or recent experience in the specialty area; willingness to obtain HBO certification and additional licenses if required.
• Preferred PA and NJ licenses.

Physical & Sensory Requirements

Sitting for up to three hours per day; standing for up to eight hours per day; walking for up to six hours per day; lifting up to 100 pounds as needed; other physical tasks as described in detail.
