Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking qualified physicians to join our wound care team in Shreveport, LA. This role offers a no-call lifestyle, with Monday–Friday schedules and options for part-time or full-time work.

You will perform debridement, participate in bedside wound care, and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. Open to physicians from all specialties; comprehensive wound care training is provided.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required and board eligibility/certification as applicable.
• Unrestricted medical license in state of practice or eligibility to obtain one.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform wound care procedures including surgical/debridement and bedside care.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
• Use advanced dressings and wound protocols.
• Collaborate with SNFs and post-acute facilities to follow patient healing.

Wound Care Physician Salary & Compensation

Full-Time Average Annual Earnings: $250,000- $500,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)

High Achievers: Top performers earn $500,000+ through performance bonuses

Pay Structure: Per-patient and per-procedure pay, plus quarterly bonus programs

Wound Care Physician Schedule

We offer consistent weekday schedules with no nights or weekends, in part-time or full-time options:

• Part-Time: 2-3 days per week
• Full-Time: 4-5 days per week

Wound Care Physician Requirements

Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution

Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)

DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
