Skilled Wound Care in Sacramento, CA seeks a Wound Care Physician to join a no-call, Monday–Friday role with hands-on procedures and opportunities to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities.

The position offers a full-time or part-time arrangement with a salary range reflecting $250,000–$500,000 per year for full-time, plus per-patient/per-procedure pay and quarterly bonuses. Training is provided to new wound care physicians.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open background; comprehensive wound care training provided; no prior wound care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic and complex wounds.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.

Wound Care Physician Salary & Compensation

• Full-Time Average Annual Earnings: $250,000-$500,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)
• High Achievers: Top performers earn $500,000+ through performance bonuses
• Pay Structure: Per-patient and per-procedure pay, plus quarterly bonus programs

Wound Care Physician Schedule

• Part-Time: 2-3 days per week
• Full-Time: 4-5 days per week

Wound Care Physician Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome physicians from all specialties. Completed residency and board certification/eligibility are not required. No previous wound care or procedural experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training
