Job summary

University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is seeking a Wound & Ostomy (RN) to provide expert care for patients with complex wounds and ostomy needs. You will develop individualized care plans and educate patients and families, guiding them through ostomy adaptation.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care and support staff with evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
Ohio RN license in good standing is required.
BLS certification must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.

Responsibilities

Provide expert consultation and care for patients with complex wounds, ostomy care needs, and skin integrity concerns.
Develop individualized care plans to support healing and optimize outcomes.
Educate and support patients and families before and after ostomy surgery, promoting adaptation physically and emotionally.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff and promote evidence-based interventions to prevent skin breakdown.
Partner with Nursing Education to provide orientation, training, and ongoing professional development for caregivers.
Support inpatient and outpatient wound, ostomy, and continence care services, including outpatient ostomy clinics where applicable.
