Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking a qualified registered nurse to deliver high-quality patient care, apply nursing processes, and collaborate with the health care team at our Lanham, MD campus. The role emphasizes clinical proficiency, teaching, and ongoing evaluation of care plans.

Responsibilities include organized patient care, accurate documentation, and participation in quality initiatives in a fast-paced unit. Requires Maryland RN license and BLS, with salary range noted.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Adherence to the credentialing requirements of Luminis Health as stated in the nursing bylaws.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
• BLS - American Heart Association Health Provider (note: BLS requirement does not apply in Prep Department).
• If serving as a bilingual/multilingual interpreter, certification in Medical Interpretation is required to perform the duties of a qualified interpreter.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical nursing knowledge and skill in the specialization of the unit.
• Demonstrates the ability to apply the nursing process effectively in the care of culturally diverse patients and families.
• Organizes and reprioritizes patient care activities based on changes in conditions.
• Consistently and thoroughly assesses patients to collect data and identify learning needs.
• Develops and individualizes a plan of care for each patient.
• Implements the patient’s plan of care.
• Demonstrates proficiency in medication administration, pain management and unit-specific skills.
• Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of the plan of care and revises as needed.
• Demonstrates the ability to assess learning needs and develop teaching plans.
• Provides direct patient care in a culturally appropriate manner.
• Participates in unit governance, education of new staff, and real-time documentation.
