Job Description

Wound Care Nurse is responsible for providing specialized wound care to patients with acute or chronic wounds. The nurse will work under the supervision of a physician or wound care specialist to assess, treat, and monitor patients with wounds. The nurse will also educate patients and their families on wound care management and prevention.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients with acute or chronic wounds
• Develop and implement wound care treatment plans
• Monitor and document wound healing progress
• Provide wound care education to patients and their families
• Collaborate with physicians and wound care specialists to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
• Participate in wound care research and quality improvement initiatives
  
  

Requirements

• Active nursing license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care
• Strong knowledge of wound care management and treatment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
