The Wound Care Nurse collaborates with all disciplines on the assigned unit and prioritizes nursing actions, implementing physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames. Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care based on scientific principles, nursing theory, and evidence-based practice

• Prioritize nursing actions considering patient needs, acuity, and outcomes
• Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames
• Educate and counsel patients and families on wound care processes and issues

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing required for Magnet Hospitals
• Valid Registered Nursing license
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Prior experience with wound care patients (training provided)
• Prior billing and coding experience preferred
