Utilizing the Nursing Process, the RN plans, implements, directs, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. The RN collaborates with all disciplines on the assigned unit, prioritizes nursing actions, and implements physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames. Ongoing training will equip you with the necessary tools for success.

What You’ll Do

• Provide patient care based on scientific principles, nursing theory, and evidence-based practice
• Recognize changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately
• Prioritize nursing actions based on patient needs, acuity, and outcomes
• Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames
• Educate and counsel patients and families on wound care processes and issues

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing required for Magnet Hospitals
• Valid Registered Nursing license
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Prior experience with wound care patients (training provided)
• Prior experience with billing and coding preferred
