Job summary

Solaris HealthCare East Orlando is seeking a Wound Care Nurse RN to join our team in Orlando, FL. You will conduct wound assessments, develop individualized care plans, and perform dressing changes and debridement.

This role requires Florida RN licensure, strong clinical assessment and communication skills, and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team. We offer comprehensive benefits, shift differentials, 401(k) with match, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Florida.
• Wound care certification strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of wound care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and document measurements.
• Develop and implement individualized wound care plans.
• Perform wound care treatments including dressing changes and debridement.
• Educate patients and families on wound care and prevention.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Stay current with best practices and new wound care technologies.
• Participate in quality improvement and policy development.
• Provide guidance to nursing staff on wound care management.

Solaris HealthCare is seeking a Wound Care Nurse RN to join our team!

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive wound assessments including wound measurements and documentation.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with wounds.
• Perform wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement and other necessary interventions.
• Educate patients and their families on wound care, preventions strategies, and overall health maintenance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wound care treatments and adjust plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Stay current with best practices, evidence based protocols and new technologies in wound care.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of wound care policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals on wound care management.

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
• Wound Care Certification strongly preferred.
• Skilled Nursing Experiencepreferred.
• 2+ years of Experience in Wound Care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.

Working Conditions:

• Work may involve exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous materials and other conditions found in healthcare setting.
• Must be able to lift and move patients as needed.
• May require standing, walking & moving for extended periods.
