Job summary

Medical Director Services PC is seeking a Part-Time Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to service a skilled nursing facility in Steelville, MO.

Responsibilities include wound care, admission processing, family support, medication administration, and adherence to infection-control policies. Requires current NP/PA license with wound/ostomy certification and LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NP or PA license required.
• Wound and ostomy certification required.
• Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Solid computer skills; MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all open wounds and perform dressing care.
• Complete admission paperwork for new residents.
• Advise residents and families on care plans.
• Monitor residents and administer medications and treatments.
• Document care in Resident & dept. records.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for resident care.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Track infection control metrics and monthly reports.

Duties:

• Responsible for all open wounds in the facility, including cleaning and dressing
• Responsible for completing admission paperwork
• Providing advice & support to the Residents and their families
• Monitoring Residents and administering medication and treatments
• Documenting Resident care services by charting in Resident & dept. records
• Protecting Residents & staff by adhering to infection-control policies & protocols
• Resolving Resident problems & needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
• Assuring quality of care by adhering to Facility philosophies & standards of care
• Maintaining Resident confidence by keeping information confidential
• Tracking of infection control
• Monitoring and reporting, including monthly reports

Requirements:

• Current State NP/PA License
• Long-Term Care Experience Preferred
• Must be wound and ostomy certified
• Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent communication skills
• Friendly and a team worker
