Nexus Wound Consultants, a rapidly growing mobile wound care company, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to deliver exceptional wound care to patients in their homes and facilities nationwide.

  • Currently operating in 9 states with plans to expand nationwide, we currently care for approximately 750 patients.
  • Our innovative approach includes the use of biologic patches and Ultramist technology for effective, painless wound treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to private residences, skilled nursing facilities, adult care homes, etc. to provide comprehensive care for advanced wound care candidates.
  • Reach an informed diagnosis and create an appropriate treatment plan for each patient based on scientific knowledge and the patient's medical history.
  • Accurately document in patient charts following each appointment in our EMR system, AdvancedMD.
  • Perform wound care techniques on patients like debridements, applying biologic patches, and using Ultramist technology.
  • Collaborate with Physicians, RNs, LVNs, and other Advanced Wound Care Providers to form a high-performing medical team.
  • Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion with patients.

Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel extended distances around the listed position area.
  • Valid APRN/Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
  • Must hold board certification.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality wound care.
  • Must be willing to travel for initial training (out-of-state travel required).
  • A DEA is not required.

Position Details:

  • Role: Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) as a 1099 Independent Contractor
  • Commitment:
  • o Part-time (2-3 days per week; 8-hour workdays)
  • o Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Patient Load:
  • o Part-time: Max census is 13 patients per week (full-time contract is extended once you reach a census above 13 patients)
  • o Full-time: Max census is 30-35 patients per week (7-9 per day)
  • Compensation That Reflects Your Experience:
    We offer competitive weekly pay for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants based on experience and background in wound care:
    • $2,500/week – New graduates
    • $2,692.31/week – 5+ years of experience, no wound care background
    • $2,884.62/week – 1+ year in a specialized wound care role
    Physician Assistants (PAs)
    • $2,307.69/week – New graduates
    • $2,500.00/week – 5+ years of experience, no wound care background
    • $2,692.31/week – 1+ year in a specialized wound care role

  • Nurse Practitioners (NPs):

Training:

Providers will participate in a 3-week long training process to ensure overall preparedness and confidence before seeing patients independently.

  • Week 1: Virtual orientation and EMR training.
  • Week 2: 4-5 days of in-person training with one of our Advanced Wound Care Trainers (out-of-state travel may be required depending on location).
  • Week 3: 4-5 days of in-person training in an area more local to you (if you are the first provider in a new area, additional out-of-area travel may be required).

Note: $50/hour for pre-patient training (Daily compensation starts the first day you see your first patient following training).
