Job description

We’re seeking a Wound Care Nurse - LVN or RN to join our growing team! Reliability, trustworthiness, and consistency in attendance are extremely important for this role. The ability to regularly and timely attend work, work cooperatively and politely with others, and effectively multi-task in a stressful environment are essential functions of this job.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform dressing changes and wound care.
  • Monitor and follow-up on all ulcers and incisions, with proper documentation and communication to physicians and families.
  • Assess residents' weekly nutrition and hydration status, especially for those with ulcers and incisions; evaluate and initiate additional nutritional intake as needed.
  • Monitor lab reports for signs of infection in assigned wounds, evaluate causative factors, and communicate findings to nursing management.
  • Augment floor staffing if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing with the state licensing agency.
  • Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills, leadership qualities, and good communication skills.
