Job description

We’re seeking a Wound Care Nurse - LVN or RN to join our growing team! Reliability, trustworthiness, and consistency in attendance are extremely important for this role. Responsibilities:

• Perform dressing changes and wound care.
• Monitor and follow-up on all ulcers and incisions, with proper documentation and communication to physicians and families.
• Assess residents' weekly nutrition and hydration status, especially for those with ulcers and incisions; evaluate and initiate additional nutritional intake as needed.
• Monitor lab reports for signs of infection in assigned wounds, evaluate causative factors, and communicate findings to nursing management.
• Augment floor staffing if necessary.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing with the state licensing agency.
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills, leadership qualities, and good communication skills.
