Job description

Position Summary

The Wound Care Nurse works in harmony with the nursing staff assessing, treating, and creating care plans for patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and/or continence conditions. Posted Salary Range

USD $30.00 - USD $34.00 /Hr.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation and direct assistance in the management of patients with altered skin integrity (pressure necrosis, wounds, fistulas, etc).
  • Offer in-service programs as needed to assist nursing, rehabilitation and medical staff to maintain knowledge and competence in wound care.
  • Collect, analyze and document information and statistics related to wounds in the facility, as well as perform clinical evaluations for potential wound admissions.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must be a licensed LPN in good standing with the state (as required)
  • 1-2 years wound care experience required
  • Wound Care Certification (WOCN) preferred
  • 1+ years of long term care experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation required
