Qualifications

  • Wound Care Nurse Lead over sees wound care management in the facility.
  • Applicants must have previous wound care experience and valid licensure.
  • At least one year of experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

The Wound Care Nurse lead oversees the handling of Wound Care within the facility as well as, specializing in the proper management of wound care by treating and monitoring wounds that are the result of disease, injury, or medical treatments.

The job requires that the nurse assist with providing care that quickly and safely heal various types of wounds, including surgical openings, ulcers, bed sores, feeding tube sites, and abscesses. Their work requires that they assessthe wounds, create and implement treatments plans, monitor infections and signs of various infections, and clean wounds. Applicants must have the ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.

Wound Care Nurse Lead Licenses/Certification

  • Current valid LPN or RN license in State

  • Previous wound care experience

  • Wound care certification is preferred

  • At least one year of LPN or RN experience in a Long Term Care Setting preferred
