Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Active/Valid RN/LVN nursing license in the state of Texas (Required).
• Minimum 1 year of comprehensive wound management including wound assessment, treatment planning, dressing recommendations, documentation, education and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Performs resident skin assessments and documents treatment orders.
• Administers treatments as ordered and monitors response.
• Educates patient, family and staff on pressure ulcer prevention and wound care.
• Collaborates with clinical staff and physicians for quality wound care.
• Trains and manages Wound Care Team Members; participates in Wound Care Committee.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
