Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is seeking a Wound Care nurse practitioner to join our outpatient Wound Care Program on the main campus. You will handle new patient consultations and follow-up wound evaluations, performing procedures such as debridement, I&D, biopsies, and applying skin substitutes in an outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has an MSN, NP certification, Alaska license, and BLS. HBOT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• MSN required
• Nurse practitioner certification required
• Alaska license to practice required
• Hospital credentialing process required
• Current BLS certification required
• Wound care experience preferred; 2+ years in primary care or specialty program considered
• Hyperbaric oxygen therapy experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform new patient consultations and follow-up wound care evaluations.
• Perform procedures including debridement, incision and drainage, biopsies.
• Apply skin substitutes/bioengineered tissue in outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop care plans for healing wounds.
