Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join its multidisciplinary outpatient Wound Care Program on the main hospital campus. You will perform new patient consultations and follow-up evaluations for a full range of wound healing issues, including ED/urgent care cases.

The role involves procedures such as debridement, incisions, biopsies, and skin substitutes in an outpatient environment, collaborating with seasoned wound and lymphedema

Qualifications

• MSN required.
• Certification as a nurse practitioner required.
• Active Alaska license required.
• Successful completion of hospital credentialing process required.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform new patient consultations and follow-up evaluations for wound care.
• Conduct procedures such as selective and excisional debridement, incision and drainage, biopsies and skin substitutes in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of wound care and other specialty providers to develop care plans.
• Support the wound care program with a focus on patient progress toward healing.
