Job summary
CareMed Health Solutions is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide wound care services for residents in long-term care facilities in Kentucky. The role involves prescribing medications and coordinating care with the facility staff and primary care physicians.
The position supports an interdisciplinary care team and requires current KY NP licensure, board certification, and experience with wound management in skilled nursing settings. Part-time hours and benefits are available.
Qualifications
- Must hold an NP license in Kentucky, with board certification.
- DEA licensure is optional but preferred.
- Experience with wound care in long-term care settings is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances per Kentucky law.
- Order, review, and follow up on treatments and diagnostic tests.
- Communicate with nursing home staff about changes in patient condition and care plans.
- Collaborate with primary care physician and interdisciplinary team.
