Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide ambulatory patient care under clinician supervision. You will gather information for visits, support patient communication via calls and in person, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality care.

The role requires completion of a Medical Assistant program (or RN/LPN eligibility) and current BLS, with familiarity with EMR systems and basic data entry.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers, must be obtained prior to start.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or one year of Medical Assistant Experience or has a current RN/LPN license.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver high-quality care.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI.

Responsabilités

• Assist the provider to gather information relative to the patient’s visit and condition.
• Communicate clearly with patients via telephone and in-person interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient care.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and follow-through in care delivery.
