Job summary

Horizon Rehabilitation Hospital of McKinney is seeking a compassionate Wound Care LVN to join our patient-centered team. This on-site role supports wound care patients and collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team in a 26-bed facility located in McKinney, TX.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and active LVN license in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Wound care certification encouraged within 1 year of hire.
• One year of wound care experience preferred.

• Ability to identify and implement components of the nursing process and educate patients and families.

Horizon Rehabilitation Hospital of McKinney is an innovative, state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered healthcare services to our community. As a relatively new and growing 26 bed rehab hospital, we are committed to setting new standards in patient care and rehabilitation. We value compassion, excellence, and teamwork, and we are looking for a compassionate, experienced Wound Care LVN to join our team.

The regular schedule for this position is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Wednesdays and Sundays are typically off, with occasional on-call availability required on Sundays.

Qualifications: What we are looking for:

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Certification in Wound Care encouraged within 1 year of hire
• One (1) year experience in wound care preferred.
• Previous experience working in wound care or demonstrated interest and aptitude in wound care skills preferred.
• Ability to identify and implement components of the nursing process. Identify learning needs and teach patients and families.
