Job summary

Villa Healthcare is seeking a Wound Care Nurse LPN to provide routine daily nursing care per resident assessments and care plans in a long-term care setting. The role specializes in wounds, ostomies, and continence disorders while supporting 24/7 nursing needs.

The ideal candidate holds an LPN license with a Nursing degree/diploma, and has strong wound care knowledge, infection control practices, and excellent English communication. Eligible for growth opportunities within Villa Healthcare.

Qualifications

Must be CPR trained and possess a current BLS certification.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Serves as the expert in Wound Care.
Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understands and follows infection control standards, policies and procedures.
Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

Provides routine daily nursing care and services per resident assessments and care plans.
Specializes in care of patients with wounds, ostomies, or continence disorders.
Evaluates and implements treatment protocols to prevent skin irritation and infection.
Maintains charts and documents care provided and resident responses.
Assists with 24/7 nursing coverage as needed.
Communicates with residents, families, physicians, guardians, and facility staff as required by policy.
Ensures HIPAA compliance in daily operations.
Assists with administrative duties such as forms, reports, and charting.
