Job summary

RestorixHealth is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse / HBO Technician to provide wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The role includes patient assessments, therapy delivery, and chamber operations, with ongoing training provided.

A collaborative nursing process will guide care to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will hold current BLS and CPR certifications, state RN/LPN or EMT credentials, and be comfortable with EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• BLS from American Heart Association (must)
• CPR certification from American Heart Association required
• State certification as EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-CC, EMT-P or RN/LPN/LVN for the working state
• CHT training/certification preferred
• Wound care experience is a plus and will be trained if needed
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients referred for treatment
• Participate in quality improvement and data collection for QA & Education
• Document all care accurately in hospital/department policies
• Provide therapy and hyperbaric chamber operations and maintenance
• Recognize adverse patient changes and intervene
• Enter all patient notes into RHX EMR
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and privacy procedures
• Adhere to patient safety and infection control policies
• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and families

PRN Licensed Practical Nurse / HBO Technician

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse / HBO Technician (will train) to provide Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to our referred patients. This technician conducts initial and ongoing age-specific assessments in designated time frames and provides therapy and hyperbaric chamber operations. The ideal Nurse works collaboratively with all other disciplines at assigned unit as well as uses the “nursing process” to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve ideal patient outcomes. Ongoing training will provide you the tools to be successful in your role.

What You’ll Do:

• Preparation of all patients referred for treatment
• Participates in department’s quality improvement plan and assists in collecting data used for Quality Assurance & Education
• Document all care provided accurately & completely according to hospital and department policy
• Provide therapy and hyperbaric chamber operations and maintenance/cleaning as required
• Recognize change in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately
• All patient treatment notes to be entered into RHX’s EMR system
• HIPAA Compliance – complies with all of the Privacy and Confidentiality Policy and Procedures
• Adheres to all Patient Safety Initiatives and Infection Control Procedures as outlined in the hospital’s safety manual. Appropriate usage of Hospital resources, supplies and equipment
• Provide outstanding customer service skills to patients, patient family members, referring physicians and coworkers

Qualifications

• Must have a valid and current BLS from the American Heart Association
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association required
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-CC, EMT-P), Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) certification in the state in which the Technician will work. Other advanced medical certifications will be considered.
• CHT trained/certified preferred
• Prior experience with wound care patients preferred (Will train)
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Prior experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system preferred
• Must be physically able to perform CPR
