Job summary

RestorixHealth is seeking a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse / HBO Technician to provide wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Will train in HBOT tech and nursing duties, with emphasis on patient assessment and EMR documentation.

The role works Monday through Friday with no weekends, offering comprehensive benefits and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid and current BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-CC, EMT-P, RN or LVN/LPN certification in the state of work.
• CHT trained/certified preferred.
• Prior wound care experience preferred (will train).
• Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system preferred.
• Must be physically able to perform CPR.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all patients referred for treatment.
• Participate in quality improvement and data collection for QA & Education.
• Document care accurately; provide therapy and hyperbaric chamber ops and maintenance/ cleaning.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately.
• Enter all patient treatment notes into RHX EMR.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and privacy policies.
• Adhere to patient safety initiatives and infection control procedures.
• Deliver outstanding service to patients, families, and referring physicians.

Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse / HBO Technician

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse / HBO Technician (will train) to provide Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to our referred patients. This technician conducts initial and ongoing age-specific assessments in designated time frames and provides therapy and hyperbaric chamber operations. The ideal Nurse works collaboratively with all other disciplines at assigned unit as well as uses the “nursing process” to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve ideal patient outcomes. Ongoing training will provide you the tools to be successful in your role.

What You’ll Do:

• Preparation of all patients referred for treatment
• Participates in department’s quality improvement plan and assists in collecting data used for Quality Assurance & Education
• Document all care provided accurately & completely according to hospital and department policyProvide therapy and hyperbaric chamber operations and maintenance/cleaning as required
• Recognize change in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately
• All patient treatment notes to be entered into RHX’s EMR system
• HIPAA Compliance – complies with all of the Privacy and Confidentiality Policy and Procedures
• Adheres to all Patient Safety Initiatives and Infection Control Procedures as outlined in the hospital’s safety manual. Appropriate usage of Hospital resources, supplies and equipment
• Provide outstanding customer service skills to patients, patient family members, referring physicians and coworkers

Qualifications

• Must have a valid and current BLS from the American Heart Association
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association required
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-CC, EMT-P), Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) certification in the state in which the Technician will work. Other advanced medical certifications will be considered.
• CHT trained/certified preferred
• Prior experience with wound care patients preferred (Will train)
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Prior experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system preferred
• Must be physically able to perform CPR
