Job summary

Solaris HealthCare Waterman in Florida is seeking a Wound Care Nurse LPN to join our team. This role requires an active LPN license in Florida and a strong background in wound care within a Skilled Nursing Facility environment.

You will perform wound assessments, develop care plans, administer treatments, and educate patients and families while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality, compliant patient care. Competitive benefits and shift differentials apply.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license in the state of Florida.
• Certification in Wound Care strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience and Wound Care Experience.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' wounds.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer wound care treatments, including cleaning, debridement, dressing changes, and application of topical medications.
• Monitor and document the progress of wound healing.
• Utilize advanced wound care products and technologies as appropriate.
• Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
• Provide guidance on lifestyle and dietary modifications to promote wound healing.
• Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, standards, and policies.
