Our specialty hospitals provide critical care similar to traditional hospitals or ICUs, but for an extended recovery period. Our clinicians play a vital role in the recovery of chronic, critically ill, and medically complex patients.

Summary

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LVN provides nursing care within the scope of licensure for assigned patients, following established standards and hospital policies.

Essential Functions

  • Administer medication, perform treatments, and provide patient care as prescribed under RN supervision.
  • Communicate patient status, symptoms, reactions, and changes to the RN.
  • Provide pain management and educate patients and families about it.
  • Administer medication following the five rights within scope of practice.
  • Assist with rehabilitation and treatment plans, updating them as needed under RN supervision.
  • Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, performing technical services as directed.
  • Treat patients and families with respect, addressing psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs.
  • Engage with patients and families in care planning.
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Address psychosocial needs and communicate with Social Services/Discharge Planners regarding post-discharge needs.

Compensation

$8,000 Sign-on Bonus
$21 - $26 / Hour

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited LVN program.

Licenses/Certifications: LVN License, BCLS Certification; IV Blood Certification preferred.

Experience: Minimum six months in an acute care setting preferred.
