Job summary

Wound Care Hires seeks a Director of Wound Care to lead clinical and operational functions across Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, Kansas, and other states with regular facility travel. The role requires maintaining clinical competency in debridement and grafts while setting standards and guiding growth.

You will own the service line KPI dashboard, drive clinical quality, outcomes, and financial performance, and mentor Wound Care NPs while partnering with facility leadership and care teams.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in KY, WV, or OH with multi-state licensure preferred.
• Board certification in Wound Care (WCC/CWCN/CWS or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years wound care clinical experience with hands-on debridement and graft procedures.
• 2–3 years in leadership, supervision, or program management.
• Experience in skilled nursing, assisted living, or long-term care settings.
• Knowledge of CMS documentation and billing for wound procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and procedural oversight of advanced wound care.
• Develop and maintain wound care protocols for assessment, planning, and escalation.
• Oversee diagnostic workups (labs, imaging, cultures) as indicated.
• Manage comorbidity treatment and coordination with other clinicians.
• Mentor wound care NPs and review complex cases.
• Own KPI dashboard and drive performance, documentation, and billing accuracy.
