Job summary

Complete Care is seeking a Wound Care Director-RN in Illinois to lead wound care programs and oversee nursing staff.

You will assess resident needs, implement treatment plans, educate families, and ensure compliant documentation under HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Current, unencumbered Illinois RN license.
• Minimum 1 year of wound care experience.
• Prior wound care certification/experience required.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong written and verbal communication for documentation and education.
• Familiarity with completing the MDS assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assess individual patient needs to determine treatment plans.
• Provide direct nursing care under medical direction and facility policy.
• Prioritize daily tasks to ensure timely resident care.
• Modify treatment plans to meet resident needs within standards.
• Educate patients and families on healing and wellness.
• Track treatments and progress per HIPAA guidelines.
• Monitor non-licensed personnel performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Wound Care Director-RN

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Current, Unencumbered Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in wound care and treatments
• Prior experience/certification in Wound Care is Required
• Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required
• Computer Knowledge
• Clear written and verbal communication skills (Essential for documentation and patient/family education)
• Familiarity with completing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessment tool.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide direct nursing care to residents under the medical direction and supervision of the residents' attending physicians, the Director of Nursing Services, and the Medical Director of the facility.
• Ability to prioritize daily tasks to ensure timely and effective resident care.
• Assist in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the physical and psychological needs of the resident, in accordance with established medical practices and the requirements of the policies and procedures of this facility, and in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility.
• Educate patients and families on best practices to promote healing and wellness.
• Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines.
• Monitor the performance of non-licensed personnel.
• Any other duties assigned by the Director of Nursing.
