Job summary

Kindred Hospital Greensboro is seeking a Wound Care Technician to support licensed staff and provide basic nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. You will assist with activities of daily living, wound care, dressing changes, and patient positioning, while maintaining a clean, safe environment under RN supervision.

The role requires attention to patient safety, accurate charting, and effective communication with patients, families and the care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum two years of CNA experience preferred.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes emergencies and initiates appropriate alarms (Code Blue, Code Red, etc.).
• Positions patient to off-load pressure using proper positioning techniques.
• Monitors basic patient data (vital signs, wound photography, intake & output) and documents in the medical record.
• Assists with activities of daily living, nutrition and mobility per plan of care.
• Performs wound care tasks including dressing changes and wound cleansing as ordered.
• Supports the plan of care and maintains a safe, clean environment under RN supervision.
