Job summary

Mountain View Hospital seeks a Certified Nurse Assistant to join the wound care team. The WCA provides wound care within scope of practice, assesses pain, and supports quality patient care in the clinic.

Responsibilities include wound treatments, accurate documentation, and effective communication with the care team while upholding patient confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Current license or certification as CNA, Paramedic or EMT.
  • BLS certification and renewal as required.
  • Experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and evaluates quality patient care in accordance with clinic policies.
  • Assist in treating wounds across venous, arterial, diabetic, burns and other categories as directed.
  • Adequately assesses and reassesses pain and applies pain management techniques.
  • Communicates effectively with physicians, patients, families and staff to resolve care issues.
  • Maintains HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Certified Nurse Assistant to join our team!JOB SUMMARY: The Wound Care Assistant (WCA) is accountable for assuring the provision of quality wound care to all wound clinic patients within his/her scope of practice. The WCA ensures that the patients’ physical and psychosocial needs are met in the clinic; all patients care is documented according to policy. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.Is responsible for making wound care decisions within his/her scope of practice (as described by licensure and/or hospital policy) relating to patient care and performing other duties and functions that include, but are not limited to those described.Utilizes effective human relations and communication skills when interfacing with physicians, practitioners, patients/families/significant others and takes positive action to resolves patient care problems.
