As a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, Stamford Care Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Wound Care and Infection Prevention RN to join our team. As a valued member of our clinical staff, you will play a crucial role in promoting wound healing and preventing infections within our facility.

About the Role:

• Develop and implement individualized wound care plans for patients with complex wounds

• Conduct routine wound assessments and document findings accurately

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to prevent and manage infections, ensuring optimal patient outcomes

• Provide education to patients, families, and staff on wound care and infection prevention best practices

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Responsibilities:

• Conduct wound care treatments, including debridement, dressing changes, and compression therapy

• Develop and implement infection prevention strategies, including antibiotic stewardship and hand hygiene promotion

• Participate in code brown and emergency response situations as needed

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, treatments, and outcomes

• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care and infection prevention

• Strong knowledge of wound care and infection prevention principles and practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
