Advantage Surgical and Wound Care - Wound Care Specialist Opportunity

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Wound Care Specialist (3-4 days/week) to work in the Sacramento to Modesto areas. Qualified candidates will round at multiple facilities within a designated territory. We are currently seeking MD/DOs to join our progressive medical practice. (MD/DO preferred; experienced NP/PAs will also be considered). SIGN-ON BONUS OFFERED

Our experienced medical providers perform rounds in Skilled Nursing Facilities, providing wound care to residents in post-acute rehab settings, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term acute care hospitals.

Qualifications:

• Active state medical license (MD/DO/NP/PA)
• Board Certification preferred (Family Practice or Internal Medicine)
• General Practitioners welcome to apply
• Valid state driver’s license

Duties:

• Weekday commitment: No call, evenings, or weekends
• Deliver wound care at the bedside in the post-acute care setting
• Round daily at multiple facilities
• No supervisory commitment

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, focusing on factors increasing wound formation risk
• Collaborate with facility staff to develop effective wound care plans
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate dressings
• Educate nursing staff and communicate with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams
• Order medications and provide clear instructions for their use
• Provide quality care to the geriatric patient population
