Advantage Surgical and Wound Care - Wound Care Specialist Opportunity

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care has an exciting Full-Time Wound Care Specialist position (2-3 days/week) available in the Fresno, Hanford, Madera, Merced, and Modesto, CA areas.

Qualified candidates will perform rounds at multiple facilities within a designated territory. We are seeking Medical Doctors to join our progressive medical practice, with MD/DO preferred; experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants will also be considered. SIGN-ON BONUS OFFERED.

Our experienced providers conduct rounds in Skilled Nursing Facilities, providing wound care for residents in post-acute rehab settings, nursing homes, assisted living, and long-term acute care hospitals.

Qualifications:

• Active medical license (MD/DO) in the state
• Board Certification preferred (Family Practice or Internal Medicine)
• General Practitioners are encouraged to apply
• Valid driver's license

Duties:

• Weekday schedule with no call, evenings, or weekends
• Provide bedside wound care in post-acute settings
• Round daily at multiple facilities
• No supervisory responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments focusing on wound risk factors
• Collaborate with facility staff to develop effective wound care plans
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe dressings
• Educate nursing staff and communicate with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams
• Order medications and provide clear instructions
• Deliver quality care to the geriatric patient population
