Responsibilities include arranging and editing musical compositions in a DAW, coordinating lyrics and media, organizing chord charts and rehearsals, onboarding musicians, and leading skill-building workshops while collaborating with campus worship leaders to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

Job description

Based in Concord, CA, the Worship Specialist – Music Director will assist the Network Worship Pastor in developing and leading a worship culture across all Bay Church Campuses that is Holy Spirit led, musically excellent, and well-coordinated. We are looking for someone committed to continual development as a leader and mature Christ-follower.

DESCRIPTION

• Daily, and ultimately weekly arrange, edit, and create musical compositions via a DAW. This includes but not limited to ensuring all tracks, stems, and transitions are properly aligned with service flow.
• Complete a broad array of assigned audio engineering and production tasks (i.e. coordinating lighting cues, lyrics, and other media elements as needed.
• Organize and maintain all chord charts, song files, and song arrangements.
• Prepare for and lead band rehearsals when they are scheduled.
• Assist in the leadership of on-boarding musicians.
• Organize and lead skill building workshops for musicians across campuses.
• Work with each campus worship leader to maintain and increase the integrity, excellence, and sound of Bay Church worship culture; specifically, in the area of musicianship. Note: details about campus rotation will be discussed upon hiring with the Network Worship Pastor.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess a fundamental working knowledge of Music Theory and have a gifting/experience with an instrument.
• Experience with digital audio workstations. (DAW’s - preferably Ableton Live)
• Experience (preferred) with digital performance software/equipment. (MainStage, Helix, Kemper etc.)
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with production team, and all other teams as assigned.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, allowing the successful completion of diverse tasks, even when unfamiliar or outside of your regular scope.
• Demonstrate an ability to embrace and excel in dynamic settings, where tasks, priorities and goals may shift rapidly.
• Can confidently build rapport, credibility and influence throughout the team.
• Proficient in identifying opportunities for productivity and actively seeking out tasks, rather than waiting for assignments.
