First Baptist Church Scottsboro is seeking a part-time Worship Pastor to plan and lead Christ-centered worship under the direction of the Senior Pastor. The role emphasizes developing a vibrant worship ministry, coordinating services, and recruiting musicians.

The ideal candidate demonstrates spiritual maturity, experience in worship leadership, and the ability to blend traditional and contemporary styles in a church setting. Hours are determined by the Senior Pastor and church needs.

Qualifications

• Committed Christian with spiritual maturity and ministry heart.
• Agree with Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Experience in worship leadership preferred.
• Proficient in vocal and instrumental music; lead worship with guitar or keyboard.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead worship services with the Senior Pastor.
• Select songs and worship elements aligned with sermon themes.
• Lead regular rehearsals; ensure musicians and tech volunteers are prepared.
• Recruit, train, and oversee worship team members.
• Incorporate traditional and contemporary worship styles as needed.
• Coordinate multimedia and other worship elements to support services.
• Oversee care of instruments and equipment.
• Develop and strengthen the worship ministry with the Senior Pastor.
• Attend staff meetings and church events as requested.
• Assist with special worship services and budget management.
• Ensure volunteers follow church policies.
