Job summary

First Baptist Church in Guymon, Oklahoma is seeking a full-time Worship Pastor to lead the congregation in worship and to proclaim the gospel through musical expression. The pastor will work with other pastors to fulfill the church's vision and priorities.

The role requires strong gifting in singing and music, a mature faith, and the ability to recruit and develop worship teams, organize services, and manage ministry resources.

Qualifications

• Must be a mature believer in Jesus Christ and committed to biblical faithfulness.
• Must meet biblical qualifications for spiritual leadership as found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
• Must have gifting in singing and music and lead others in worship.
• Must align with church vision and collaborate with pastoral staff.
• Must work well with instrumentalists, staff, and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and lead the worship and music ministries for regular and special services.
• Lead the congregation to worship God through song and musical expression.
• Plan services with the Senior Pastor and staff, selecting songs appropriate for worship.
• Recruit, train, and organize worship team members and volunteers.
• Prepare service outlines and communicate with the church secretary weekly.
• Oversee worship ministry budgeting and resource management.
