Job summary

Baptist Search Partners is assisting Malvern Hill Baptist Church in Camden, SC to hire a Worship Pastor. The role will lead the church’s music and worship planning, steering A/V technology oversight and coordinating a team to deliver meaningful worship experiences.

The Worship Pastor partners with church leadership to foster a multi-generational worship ministry, recruit volunteers, manage budgets, and expand online ministry reach. Strong musical leadership and collaboration are essential.

Malvern Hill is a growing congregation with a rich history dating back to 1931. Over the decades, the church has grown into a thriving church family that welcomes approximately 600 worshipers each Sunday. The church has experienced tremendous growth in the past several years. Malvern Hill emphasizes biblical preaching, dynamic worship, LifeGroups, discipleship, special needs ministry, and multigenerational ministry. Approximately 1/3 of the congregation is under the age of 18.

The Worship Pastor serves as the Pastor responsible for music and worship service planning and preparation, as well as direction and oversight of A/V technologies. The primary purpose of this pastoral role is to lead the church body at Malvern Hill to worship Jesus Christ. The Worship Pastor will work in partnership with other leadership to help the church fulfill its purposes to love God, love others, and change the world!

Worship and Music Responsibilities

The Worship Pastor is responsible:

• for worship service planning and preparation, in conjunction with the Senior Pastor.

• to raise up and train volunteers to lead andfacilitatehealthy, dynamicworship services.

• to develop andfacilitatea multi-generational worship ministry that is intentionallyseekingtoraise upthe next generation of worshipers.

• for the organization and oversight of a worship choir that provides occasional presentations and seasonal performances.

• for the management of online platforms to promote and expand the ministry of Malvern Hill through worship.

• for the necessary maintenance of instruments and equipment.

• for developing and managing related ministry budgets.
