Job summary

River Valley Church – Apple Valley campus is seeking a Campus Worship Leader/Pastor to execute all worship experiences for weekend and campus events. You will lead worship, oversee the worship team’s health, and collaborate with campus staff to shape services and planning.

You will recruit and train musicians, develop interns, coordinate set lists, and ensure high-quality production (sound, video, lighting) across multiple services and events, while partnering with the Campus Pastor and Central

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Planning Center Online is required.
• Ableton and music production basic proficiency.
• Proficient in chord charts and music-numbering systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead worship for weekend services and oversee worship at YTH services
• Responsible for the spiritual climate, health and discipleship of the worship team
• Coordinate worship experiences and schedule musicians at least 1 week in advance
• Work with Campus Pastor and Production Lead to aggregate service information and finalize formats
• Run rehearsal and ensure services are executed with excellence; oversee sound, video and lighting
• Prepare and print chord charts as necessary
• Work with drummer or MD to prepare Ableton set
• Participate in weekly campus staff meetings
• Attend weekly service planning meetings
• Recruit & train musicians for the campus
• Develop Apple Valley worship interns and engage them with coaching and growth opportunities
• Assist with worship leading for church-wide events/conferences
• Assist with outside opportunities as necessary

Position Summary

As a part of the Worship team and the campus team, the Campus Worship Leader/Pastor is responsible for executing all worship experiences for services and events at the Apple Valley campus. As the largest campus of River Valley and the Broadcast campus for our Online ministry, this position oversees the campus with the largest amount of services and events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Campus Worship Leader/Pastor is required to perform a range of duties including, but not limited to:

• Lead worship for weekend services and oversee worship at YTH services

• Responsible for the spiritual climate, health and discipleship of the worship team

• Coordinate worship experiences

  • Schedule musicians and songs at least 1 week in advance

  • Work with Campus Pastor and Production Lead to aggregate service information from Central and finalize service formats

  • Run rehearsal/run-through and work with Campus Production Lead to ensure services are executed with excellence

    • Provide oversight on Sound, Video and Lighting elements as necessary

    • Prepare and print chord charts as necessary

  • Work with drummer or MD to prepare Ableton set

• Participate in weekly campus staff meetings

• Attend weekly service planning meetings

• Regularly meet one-on-one with Campus Pastor to discuss the worship experience at the campus and any applicable wins, adjustments, changes, etc.

• Actively work to recruit & train musicians for the campus

• Be intentional to have connect meetings each week with campus attendees, volunteers, and leaders

• Develop Apple Valley worship interns and engage them with an excellent ministry experience, providing oversight, coaching, and growth opportunities.

• Assist with worship leading for church-wide events/conferences

• Assist with any song-writing/recording projects as deemed necessary by Central Ministries Worship Pastor and Pastor of Local Creative Ministry

• Any other campus-specific responsibilities as determined by Campus Pastor

• Assist with worship leading for any outside opportunities (youth conventions, etc.), as necessary

Qualifications

• Proficient at Planning Center Online

• Basic proficiencies in Ableton and music production

• Proficient in chording, charting and number system

• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Education

Any combination of education and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described with an emphasis on continual learning.

Experience

Successful candidate should have at least 5-8 years related experience.
