Job summary

Crossroads Church of Dunwoody is seeking a Christ-centered, musically gifted worship leader to guide our congregation in reverent, engaging worship. The role collaborates with the Senior Pastor to craft services that reinforce the preached Word.

The ideal candidate will lead congregational singing, play piano, and manifest pastoral shepherding through worship. We welcome candidates who value hymns and contemporary worship aligned with doctrine.

Qualifications

• Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and life aligned with biblical character.
• Agreement with church doctrine and ministry philosophy; ready for church membership.
• Piano skills desired; guitar skills are a plus.
• Ability to lead congregational singing with confidence and warmth.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead congregational worship during weekly services on Sunday mornings.
• Collaborate with the Senior Pastor in planning worship services centered on the preached Word.
• Work with the Senior Pastor to select songs and hymns that are theologically sound and congregationally accessible.
• Help cultivate a worship culture marked by reverence, joy, and active participation.
• Coordinate and rehearse with musicians and vocalists as needed.
• Pursue musical excellence while maintaining a servant-hearted and pastoral approach to ministry.

Job description

Crossroads Church of Dunwoody is seeking a Christ-centered, musically gifted, and spiritually mature man to help lead our congregation in corporate worship that is both reverent and engaging. We are a Bible-believing church committed to the faithful preaching of God’s Word through verse-by-verse expository teaching and sound doctrine. Our desire is for every aspect of the worship service to support and magnify the ministry of the Word.

The ideal man for this role will be able to play an instrument and sing, have a heart for shepherding God’s people through biblically rich worship that is both reverent and joyful. This man will work closely with the Senior Pastor in thoughtfully crafting worship services that align with and reinforce the themes and truths of the preached text.

Responsibilities

• Lead congregational worship during weekly services on Sunday mornings.
• Collaborate with the Senior Pastor in planning worship services centered on the preached Word.
• Work with the Senior Pastor to select songs and hymns that are theologically sound, Christ-centered, and appropriate for congregational singing.
• Help cultivate a worship culture marked by reverence, joy, and active participation.
• Coordinate and rehearse with musicians and vocalists as needed.
• Pursue musical excellence while maintaining a servant-hearted and pastoral approach to ministry.

• Agreement with the church’s doctrinal commitments and philosophy of ministry, as well as a desire to be a member of Crossroads Church with your family.
• Piano skills desired; guitar skills are a plus.
• Ability to lead congregational singing confidently and warmly.
• Appreciation for both historic hymns and modern songs that are doctrinally faithful and congregationally accessible.
• A desire to see music serve the preaching and teaching ministry of the church rather than stand apart from it.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Crossroads Church of Dunwoody is a Christ-centered church committed to the authority and sufficiency of Scripture, expositional preaching, sound doctrine, meaningful fellowship, and Christ-exalting worship. We desire worship services that are spiritually rich, biblically grounded, and centered on the glory of Christ. We have recently called a new Senior Pastor, Brian St. James, and we are excited for what the Lord has in store for His people here.

Compensation & Schedule

This position will pay 1,000$ per month and be focused on Sunday mornings.
