Southside Baptist Church is seeking a Worship & Education Pastor to lead our worship and education ministries under the Senior Pastor's guidance. You will develop Christ-centered worship, equip ministry leaders, and support pastoral outreach, aligning with the church's mission.

The role involves planning services, directing worship teams, mentoring volunteers, and participating in evangelism and visitation efforts, while managing ministry budgets and coordinating with staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate worship & music ministries with volunteer leaders across preschool, children, student, and adult ministries.
• Plan and evaluate all worship services in cooperation with the Senior Pastor, including Sunday services and special events.
• Recruit, train, and equip volunteers for the worship ministry; oversee instruments and audio equipment.
• Prepare and administer the annual worship ministry budget in cooperation with the Budget Committee.
• Assist the Senior Pastor in strengthening the church's educational ministries by training, encouraging, and equipping ministry leaders and volunteers.
• Assist the Senior Pastor in providing pastoral care through hospital visitation, home visits, counseling, and other ministry opportunities.
• Preach, teach, and lead Bible studies, Small Groups, or worship services as requested by the Senior Pastor.
• Conduct weddings, funerals, and other pastoral ministries as requested.
• Participate in ongoing visitation to senior adults, nursing homes, hospitals, and homebound members.
• Assist the Senior Pastor in all areas of pastoral ministry as requested.
• Assist with the daily administrative responsibilities of the church office and ministry operations.
• Coordinate office hours and scheduled time off in consultation with the Senior Pastor.
• Work cooperatively with church staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers to accomplish the mission and vision of Southside Baptist Church.

Worship & Education Pastor

Ministry Position Description

The Worship & Education Pastor is responsible to the Senior Pastor for providing leadership in the worship and education ministries of Southside Baptist Church. This position exists to help fulfill the church's mission by developing Christ-centered worship, equipping ministry leaders, supporting pastoral ministry, and assisting in the overall work of the church.

Ministry Responsibilities

Worship Ministry

• Provide leadership in planning, organizing, developing, and evaluating the overall worship ministry in cooperation with the Senior Pastor.
• Assist the Senior Pastor in planning all worship services, including Sunday services, special services, revivals, mission conferences, and other church-wide events.
• Lead and coordinate all worship and music ministries, working alongside volunteer leaders in preschool, children's, student, and adult ministries.
• Direct, develop, disciple, and encourage worship teams, musicians, vocalists, and other volunteers serving in the worship ministry.
• Recruit, train, and equip volunteers for the worship ministry.
• Establish goals, vision, and organization for the worship ministry that support the overall mission of Southside Baptist Church.
• Oversee the care, maintenance, and proper use of musical instruments, audio equipment, and related worship resources.
• Prepare and administer the annual worship ministry budget in cooperation with the Budget Committee.

Education Ministry

• Assist the Senior Pastor in strengthening the church's educational ministries by training, encouraging, and equipping ministry leaders and volunteers.
• Provide leadership and support for the church's education ministries as assigned by the Senior Pastor.

Pastoral Ministry

• Assist the Senior Pastor in providing pastoral care through hospital visitation, home visits, counseling, and other ministry opportunities.
• Participate faithfully in the church's visitation, outreach, and intentional evangelism efforts.
• Preach, teach, and lead Bible studies, Small Groups, or worship services as requested by the Senior Pastor.
• Conduct weddings, funerals, and other pastoral ministries as requested.
• Participate in ongoing visitation to senior adults, nursing homes, hospitals, and homebound members.
• Assist the Senior Pastor in all areas of pastoral ministry as requested.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily administrative responsibilities of the church office and ministry operations.
• Coordinate office hours and scheduled time off in consultation with the Senior Pastor.
• Work cooperatively with church staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers to accomplish the mission and vision of Southside Baptist Church.
