Job summary

Anchor Community Church in Walnut, CA seeks a part-time Worship Director to plan and lead the Worship Team, coordinating with the Lead Pastor and FECDB for worship experiences.

You will mentor leaders, supervise auditions, maintain the song pool, and oversee services and special events, including Christmas and Easter. The role emphasizes spiritual growth, teamwork, and consistent worship quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of musical experience, including 5 years in worship.
• Strong knowledge of music theory.
• Planning Center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute all aspects of Anchor's Worship Team.
• Coordinate schedules and collaborate with FECDB for facility reservations.
• Work with Productions Team Leader to ensure cohesion across worship elements.
• Partner with Lead Pastor to shape worship culture and theology.
• Oversee audition and onboarding process; mentor new members.
• Train worship leaders to independently lead services and rehearsals.
• Assist in planning church services and events (Christmas, Easter, etc.).
• Maintain and develop the church's song pool; manage Planning Center chord charts.
• Partner with Youth Pastor to nurture future worshippers; engage external leaders.
• Host regular meetings and staff collaboration to align with mission.
• Ad hoc duties as assigned.
